"Notorious" poacher arrested in Cameroon
Yaoundé, Cameroon, 5th October 2012—Cameroonian authorities arrested on Thursday Symphorien Sangha, allegedly one of the most notorious poachers of elephants and ivory smugglers operating in Central Africa.
Sangha was sadi to be primarily active in the Tri-National Sangha Complex (TNS), a network of protected areas that straddle the countries of Cameroon, the Central African Republic and the Republic of Congo.
