IUCN/TRAFFIC Analyses of CITES CoP18 Proposals available
Cambridge, UK, 16th March 2019—In preparation for each CITES Conference of the Parties (CoP) meeting, to which proposed amendments to the CITES Appendices are submitted, and at which they are considered, IUCN with TRAFFIC produces the IUCN/TRAFFIC Analyses of the Proposals to Amend the CITES Appendices.
The IUCN/TRAFFIC analyses for the proposals put forward by Parties ahead of the 18th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to CITES (CITES CoP18) are now available here
The Analyses aim to provide as objective an assessment as possible of each proposal to amend the CITES Appendices, against the criteria elaborated in Resolution Conf. 9.24 (Rev. CoP17) and other Resolutions and Decisions that have been adopted by the Parties to CITES.
