TRAFFIC supports capacity building for enforcement agencies in Central Africa
Mutengene, Cameroon, South West Region, December 2012—In collaboration with the Ministry of Forests and Wildlife (MINFOF) and WWF Cameroon, has supported the training of 1,742 police officers on topics ranging from anti-poaching measures, law enforcement and international wildlife conventions.
The capacity building took place over a series of workshops held between 29th October and 2nd November 2012 at the Mutengene Police Investigation and Enforcement Center (CIAP), the largest police centre in Cameroon.
It followed earlier such events across the country.
